A few months ago, there was a thread on the board about Alaina Day, the daughter of former Whiteland HS and University of Evansville player Megan (Liffick) Day and her husband John. Alaina, now 17 months old, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in the spring of this year. Through chemo, stem cell, and radiation treatments, she seemed to be making progress and was improving until very recently. But today, we received news that the cancer has spread significantly, and the doctors now believe she has just a few weeks left.
