Checking out Attucks’ schedule for next year, you see they are only playing Shortridge, and they do not have the PAAC crossover tournament on their schedule.
Bethesda has their 2017-18 schedule up on their website. They are playing the PAAC South teams (Greenwood Christian, Shortridge, International and Central Christian) and they have the PAAC tournament game on their schedule.
No announcement? Looks like it is a done deal from an objective point of view.
Attucks enrollment is more than the five smallest schools in the conference combined. The same fate may one day befall Shortridge, but their programs just are not very good right now with the IB program there they aren't attracting athletes and aren't recruiting them. The conference has five of the smallest 30 schools in the IHSAA, that will grow to six with the addition of Bethesda Christian.
