[The jury trial of Anderson High School boys basketball Phillip Washington on Tuesday was postponed until late November, said Anderson City Court Judge Jason Jamerson.
Washington's attorney, Zaki Ali, asked for a delay because there are issues of evidence in the case that need to be addressed before trial, Jamerson said.
The new trial date is Nov. 22.
Washington was arrested about 4:30 a.m. July 30 on suspicion of drunken driving. He was returning home after celebrating his 33rd birthday with friends in Indianapolis, according to police reports.]
