One of my employees has a daughter on Mitchell Bluejackets basketball team. They are playing Jasper at Jasper in opening game of Sectional. Her text question to me tonight is why is Mitchell with an enrollment of 508 playing in same class with Jasper at 1087. I didn't have a good excuse for it, because there isn't a good excuse for this. Mitchell in most State's tournaments(like Illinois) 4 class system, they would be in 2A.
IBCA ideas were a nice attempt to correct that situation. Where they fell all over themselves was when in there attempt to appease everyone. Bunch of Nevil Chamberlain's! Ala their 6 class sectional debacle! They lost the whole damn argument. Good job!
Even number of schools in each class is bogus!
