A L Trout as you know is in the Illinois b b hall of fame, from Bruceville, IN
Bruceville has a IN basketball Hall of Fame member.
MATTHEW WALKER
Who not only graduated (1927) played for Bruceville but came back and coached at Bruceville H S 22 seasons.
Now interesting facts:
While Walker was a player at Bruceville( and a good one) he played for Jim Adams, Brother of John L. Adams...
Arthur Trout owned a farm just outside Bruceville and would come there each summer from Centralia
He would hire a high school kid to work for him on his farm/ that kid would be Matt Walker..
Jump years ahead and Bruceville was coached by Matt Walker/Matt and Trout scheduled games with Bruceville and Centralia, of course Bruceville always had to go to Centralia.
I know at least once Bruceville won this game.
Check and see I think Trout is in the Ill. football hall of fame as a coach also.
