It’s that time again! I can smell the sweat in the gym and the popcorn popping!! I have gathered the best bunch of basketball junkies I could find! What more in life do we want more than a bunch of friends sitting around talking hoops on a Saturday afternoon?

We have a great line-up of speakers, and I can’t wait to steal from some of the best coaches in the state. After the coaches speak feel free to hang out and stay as long as you want. Just a reminder the bar/restaurant only takes cash (no credit cards). Please feel free to bring your assistants and invite other coaches!! This is a FREE clinic, no registration, just show up!

The following coaches will be our featured speakers:

12:00-12:45pm Coach Dave Benter**- Head Coach at Brownstown Central HS. Coach Benter is 477-166 entering his 27th year. They are coming off a 28-4 Class 2A State Championship led by his son Jack, who is headed to Purdue University. Coach has won 12 Sectionals, 4 Regionals, 3 Semi-States and 2 State Runner-Up to go with the 2024 State Championship. Coach has also won the Mid-Southern Conference Championship 14 times. He has been selected IBCA District 3 Coach of the Year in 2004, 2010 and 2024, and is a 6-time HBCA District 4 Coach of the Year. Coach was selected as a Junior All-Star Assistant in 2004, Head Coach of Junior All-Stars in 2010 and the Head Coach of the Indiana All-Stars in 2014. Coach is a 1996 Hanover grad, where he scored 1,934 career points and was a 3-time MVP and was the 1996 Division III Player of the Year.

12:50 - 1:35 pm Coach Garrett Winegar** - Head Coach at Fishers HS. Coach Winegar is fresh off a historic run to the 2024 State Championship with the Fishers Tigers with an incredible 29-1 record. Entering his 5th year, he is 78-23 as the Tigers coach. This was Fishers first Sectional Title in nearly 100 years! He also coached one year at Warren Central and has an overall record of 96-29. Coach has the distinction of playing in the State Finals in 2009 with the State Runner-Up Rochester Zebras, and as an assistant coach with the 2018 32-0 State Champion Warren Central Warriors.

1:40 - 2:25 pm Coach Paul Corsaro – Head Coach at Division I IU Indy. Indianapolis-native Paul Corsaro was named the 11th head coach in program history on Mar. 25, 2024. Corsaro spent the previous four seasons as head coach at nearby University of Indianapolis. The past three years, UIndy has gone 68-25 with back-to-back NCAA Division II Tournament appearances and consecutive Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) regular season titles. Corsaro began his coaching career as an assistant coach and associate head coach at UIndy (2012-18), helping the Greyhounds to a winning record for six straight winning seasons and four years of 20 wins or better. He later spent two years as assistant coach at Fort Wayne (2018-20), helping the Mastodons to an 18-15 mark his first season. After an 11-12 record in his first season at UIndy, he followed up with three straight impressive seasons, including a 26-5 mark in 2022-23. Corsaro was the 2023 NABC Midwest Coach of the Year and GLVC Coach of the Year as his team set program records for wins in a season (26) and GLVC (17) victories. The program ranked as high as No. 4 in the NABC national polls and was the top seed in the Midwest Regional of the NCAA Tournament. This past season, the Greyhounds went 23-9 and once again earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Corsaro graduated from UIndy in 2012 with a degree in communications and completed his MBA from the school in 2014. He was a two-sport star at UIndy, competing in both basketball and football, playing in both the NCAA Tournament and NCAA DII football playoffs. He starred at nearby Roncalli High School where he finished as the program’s all-time leader in career points.

2:30 -3:15 pm Jordan and Courtney Delks -The Founders of Compete Training Academy (CTA) in 2015.
Courtney was the 2010 Indiana Miss Basketball and Indiana Gatorade POY playing for Oak Hill HS. She went on and played at Purdue University where she is the 8th all-time leading scorer with 1,674 career points and was a First team All-Big 10 performer. She also finished as the all-time leader in three-pointers made (240) and free-throw percentage (90.6%), and fourth in three-point percentage (39.7%). For her efforts, Courtney was named First Team All-Big Ten. As a team, the Boilermakers won back-to-back Big Ten Tournament Championships and played in four straight NCAA National Tournaments. Courtney also holds an NCAA Tournament Record for most 3-pointers made in a NCAA Tournament Game, hitting 9-three pointers. Courtney also has experience with the Indiana Fever and as the Head Coach of the Marion Lady Giants. Jordan was a standout at Rossville HS. He played at Anderson University for one year and then transferred to Purdue North Central University (now Purdue Northwest). At Purdue North Central, Jordan led the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference in three-point percentage and three-pointers made and finished fourth in the nation in three-point percentage (45%). He also finished the season ninth in the entire country in three-point field goals made (89). Jordan was also named second-team all-conference and served as a team captain. Jordan gained valuable experience as a manager for Purdue University’s Men’s Basketball Team, learning under Coach Matt Painter. In 2014 Jordan became an assistant coach at Indiana Wesleyan University, where they
won a national championship in 2016. Jordan started training players in 2011 and always dreamed of owning a barn in the countryside of Indiana where players of all levels would come to train. In 2017, they took the next step of their dream as they bought a former dairy barn that they transformed into a one-stop shop for a basketball player. Now, you can come by the barn at any time of the day and see basketball players of all levels, from preschool to professionals, being taught what it means to COMPETE in the barn!

3:20-4:05 pm Coach Nate Champion-Head Coach at Division I Le Moyne College in DeWitt, New
York
. Champion enters his fifth year with a 61-56 record as the head coach of the Dolphins men's
basketball program. In his first year as the Head Coach, Champion posted a 19-9 record while winning
the NE-10 Southwest Division. This marked the fourth Southwest Division title for the Dolphins in a
row. Champion was named the NE-10 Coach of the Year and was also named to the NABC Under Armor
Top 30 under 30 coaches in the country. In his first year, the Dolphins averaged 83 points per game
which is the 2nd highest average in school history. A native of Logansport, Indiana, Champion returned to the Heights after serving two seasons as an assistant coach at Florida Southern College in Lakeland,Florida. In this role, Champion was responsible for recruiting, and player development. In Champion's first season at Florida Southern, the Moccasins went 21-11, averaged 88.4 points per game (eighth best in the nation) and upset top-seeded Morehouse in the first round of the NCAA South Regional to advance to the semifinals. In 2018-19, Florida Southern went 25-8, won the Sunshine State Conference Tournament and advanced to the NCAA South Region semifinals for the second straight year. Prior to his time at Florida Southern, he spent one year as a volunteer assistant at NE10-foe Stonehill College. The 2016-17 Skyhawks went 15-12. Champion got his coaching career started as a graduate assistant coach for the Dolphins in the Fall 2014 semester before embarking on a professional playing career with the Ringwood Hawks of the Australia-State League. The Dolphins were 10-3 in the 13 games Champion was on the sideline. Champion had an outstanding playing career at Le Moyne and still ranks at the top of many statistical categories. Champion is a 2014 graduate of Le Moyne with a degree in business management and leadership. He was a 3-year varsity player at Logansport High School from 2007-2010.
