18th ANNUAL BOARS NEST COACHES CLINIC 2019-2020

It’s that time again! I can smell the sweat in the gym and the popcorn popping!! I have gathered the best bunch of basketball junkies I could find! What more in life do we want more than a bunch of friends sitting around talking hoops on a Saturday afternoon?
We have a great line-up of speakers and I can’t wait to steal from some of the best coaches in the state. After the coaches speak feel free to hang out and stay as long as you want. Bring your playbooks, notebooks and be ready to throw all your secrets out. Just a reminder the bar/restaurant only takes cash (no credit cards). Please feel free to bring your assistants and invite other coaches!! This is a FREE clinic, no registration, just show up!
The following coaches will be our featured speakers:
12:15-1:15 pm Coach Toby Carrigan –Head Coach at Mount St. Joseph University. Coach has a record of 107-77 at MSJ. He has been named HCAC Coach of the Year 2 times. He has led the Lions to 3 HCAC Regular season Championships and 1 HCAC Tournament Championship leading to an NCAA Tournament berth. He was the head coach at South Dearborn HS, and an assistant at Transylvania University for 9 years helping them to 4 HCAC Championships and 3 NCAA Tournaments. He was also an assistant at Hanover College where he graduated in 1998, where he was a distinguished player. He was a 3-year starter, team captain, a Mental Attitude winner and Top Defensive Player.

1:25-2:05 pm Coach Brandon Hoffman**-Head Coach at Silver Creek HS. Entering his 10th season as the Dragons head coach with a record of 151-67. He led the Dragons to the 3A State Championship this past season with a 25-3 record. Overall, he has 3 Mid-Southern Conference Championships, 5 Sectional titles, 1 Regional and 1 Semi-State Championships. Coach was voted District 3 IBCA Coach of the year in 2015 and 2019. He was also an assistant with the Indiana Junior All-Stars in 2015.

2:15-2:55Coach Eric Brand-Head Coach at Southport HS. Entering his 2nd year with an 11-13 record as the Cardinals head coach. Overall, he has a career record of 37-14. He led South Bend Riley to a 26-1 record, an NIC Conference Championship, Sectional and Regional title in 2018. They posted an undefeated season, the best record in school history, and held the #1 State ranking for 2 months. He was selected NIC Coach of the Year in 2018. Coach was an assistant at New Mexico State University, Texas State University and a graduate assistant at Baylor University.

3:05-3:45 Coach Ryan Osborn**-Head Coach at Carmel HS. Entering his 3rd season as the Greyhounds head coach with a record of 47-9. He led the Greyhounds to the 4A State Championship this past season with a 26-1 record, he also led them to a 4A State Runner-Up in 2018. Overall, he has 1 MIC Championship, 2 Sectional titles, 2 Regional and 2 Semi-State Championships. Coach was voted District 2 IBCA Coach of the Year in 2019 and was an assistant for the Indiana Junior All-Stars in 2019.
